Nosto was the only product named in all six of our answers, a clean 6 of 6 (100%), when we asked ChatGPT and Gemini which e-commerce personalization software is best.
We ran this on 6 August 2026: six buyer-style questions, one live web search each, put to ChatGPT and Gemini, logging every product each answer named and every source domain behind it. Seventeen different product labels came up across the six answers, but only one appeared every time.
Two names sat just behind Nosto at 5 of 6 (83%): Bloomreach and Insider One. Then a four-way tie at 4 of 6 (67%): Adobe, Dynamic Yield, Oracle and Salesforce. Everything else landed at 2 of 6 (33%) or 1 of 6 (17%). Bloomreach was named in 5 of 6 answers, missing only the "best free" list.
How the shortlist moved from question to question
The six questions are close cousins in plain English, but we did not get the same list six times. Only Nosto held every seat at 6 of 6. The rest of the shortlist swapped in and out depending on how the question was phrased, which is the whole point of running six versions instead of one.
The bare "best e-commerce personalization software" question returned seven names: Bloomreach, Nosto, Insider One, Adobe, Salesforce, Oracle and Algolia. Algolia showed up here and nowhere else, its single 1 of 6 appearance tied entirely to this one phrasing.
Add "for small teams" and the list tilted hard. That answer dropped Adobe, Salesforce and Oracle completely and brought in five lighter names, among them MoEngage and Optimizely, each of which appeared in only this one of the six answers (1 of 6 each).
"Best free e-commerce personalization software" behaved oddly. It still returned Adobe, Salesforce and Oracle, three enterprise suites nobody would call free, and it added Emarsys and Maestra, two names that appear in this answer alone (1 of 6 each). "Free" did not actually filter the list down to free tools.
"Most affordable" was the sharpest break. Adobe, Salesforce and Oracle vanished again, and in came the cheaper email and SMS crowd: Omnisend, Klaviyo and ActiveCampaign, each named in 2 of 6 answers overall. None of those three appear in the bare "best" answer at all; they only surface once the buyer says "affordable" or "small teams."
So Adobe, Salesforce and Oracle each scored 4 of 6, but all four of those appearances sat in the "best," "what should I use," "free" and "recommendations" answers. The moment a question mentioned budget or team size, the enterprise trio disappeared and Nosto plus Insider One carried the list. One more quirk: in the "what should I use" answer the same vendor showed up as plain "Insider" rather than "Insider One," the only one of the six to use that shorter label.
Where the answers came from
Two domains fed the most answers, tied at 6 of 6: gokickflip.com, a roundup blog, and insiderone.com, the vendor site behind Insider One. Behind them, algolia.com and g2.com each appeared in 5 of 6 answers, and maestra.io in 4 of 6. In total, 17 different source domains fed the six answers.
The key insight is that a vendor's own domain pulled its own product onto the list. insiderone.com was cited in all 6 answers, and Insider One was named in 5 of them. Bloomreach's own site fed 3 answers and Bloomreach was named in 5. salesforce.com fed 2 answers and Salesforce was named in 4. The brands recommended most were, with few exceptions, the brands whose own pages sat in the source list.
Being cited is not the same as being recommended, though. voyado.com fed 3 answers but Voyado was never named once, and algolia.com fed 5 answers while Algolia was named just 1 time. A page can inform an answer without its owner making the shortlist.
Review directories showed up on one side only. G2 appeared in 5 of 6 answers through g2.com, plus 1 more through learn.g2.com. Capterra did not appear at all, and neither did Gartner or TrustRadius. If you assumed the usual directory stack decides these answers, most of it was simply absent.
Community threads were a minority but real: Reddit was cited in 2 of 6 answers, Quora in 2 of 6, and YouTube in 1 of 6. The bulk of the sourcing was vendor and roundup pages, not forums.
What this means if you sell in this category
The takeaway is uncomfortable and useful: the source list, not your market share, decides whether an assistant names you. Insider One was named in 5 of 6 answers with its own domain cited in all 6. Nothing here rewards being the biggest company; it rewards being on the exact pages the assistant reads on the day it answers.
Concretely, that means the pages already feeding these answers. The roundup at gokickflip.com fed 6 of 6. The G2 listing fed 5 of 6. Comparison posts on maestra.io fed 4 of 6 and voyado.com fed 3 of 6. Your own site, written so an assistant can quote it, is worth the most: insiderone.com fed all 6. Reddit and Quora each fed 2 of 6, so one credible thread carries more weight than it looks.

Two rows above are the same company: Insider One (5 of 6) and Insider (1 of 6) are one vendor the assistants labelled two ways, so we keep them as separate rows rather than merge them into a count the raw answers never show. Between the two labels the vendor is present in all six sub-questions, but we report it as measured, 5 and 1, not a combined 6.
Where Glotier fits
Glotier does not sell e-commerce personalization software, so we are correctly absent from all six of these answers, and we would not want to fake our way onto a list we do not belong on. But this page is exactly what we run for a customer's own category: the six questions, the two assistants, the products named, and the domains behind them. If you sell in this space, your own AI visibility is as measurable as Nosto's 6 of 6. The check is free, no account, about a minute.
