The best AI visibility tools, and the proof AI already reads you
By Oğuzhan Tüsen @oguzhanglotierPublished Figures last checked
This category is new enough that most writing on it is a vendor describing itself. So here is the job stated plainly, every tool measured against it including ours, and the one thing you can verify without trusting any vendor at all: the assistants are already crawling and citing pages like these.
What an AI visibility tool should actually do
Five things. A tool that skips any of them is measuring a fraction of the picture and pricing it like the whole one.
Ask more than one assistant
ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity disagree on who to name more often than they agree. A tool that checks one engine is measuring one opinion and calling it the market.
Show the sources behind each answer
Named or not-named is half the story. The half that tells you what to do is which pages the answer was built from. A yes/no with no sources cannot be acted on and cannot be checked.
Use real buying questions, held steady
The number only means something against a frozen set of the questions your buyers actually ask, re-run over time. A one-off screenshot is a mood, not a measurement.
Be honest about retrieval versus memory
Most naming comes from pages retrieved live, not from the model remembering your brand. A tool that blurs the two sells you work that cannot move the number.
Be affordable enough to run continuously
This is a weekly signal, not a boardroom report. Priced like a $2,000-a-month enterprise tracker, it gets run once and cancelled. The honest version costs tens of dollars.
What Glotier does
Glotier asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity the real buying questions in your category, on one shared live web search per question, and records whether you were named and every source the answer was built from. It tracks those week over week, tells retrieval apart from memory, shows which pages assistant-referred visitors actually landed on when you connect your analytics, and it is priced in tens of dollars a month rather than as an enterprise contract. That is the five-item list above, met.
The proof AI already comes to you
Every claim above is easy to make. Here is the part you can check, because we can show it on ourselves. The named assistant crawlers reach these pages every day: ChatGPT-User and OAI-SearchBot from OpenAI, PerplexityBot from Perplexity, and Anthropic’s ClaudeBot all appear in our logs, by name, fetching our pages hundreds of times a day. That is not a projection. It is a line in a server log you have too.
And they send people. Between 23 July 2026 and 29 July 2026, assistants referred 6 real human visitors to us (3 from ChatGPT, 2 from Bing, 1 from Perplexity), and 5 of the 6 landed on our original-measurement pages rather than a sales page. We also went a step nobody else has and measured, across 259 domains the assistants actually cite, whether those sites even permit AI crawlers to read them. The reading is happening; the only question is whether it is reading you.
The honest limit, because a page that only flatters us is not proof. In our own category, put to the same questions, we were named 0 of 78 times, and we publish that zero on our own dashboard beside every other number. A visibility tool you cannot point at its maker, and that hides its own bad number, is marketing wearing a lab coat.
