ADP Workforce Now was the only product named in all six answers when we asked ChatGPT and Gemini who makes the best HR analytics software: 6 of 6, a clean 100%. We ran the category on 2026-08-04, putting six real buyer questions to ChatGPT and Gemini with one live web search each, and recording every product named and every source cited. Twenty-one different products came up across the six answers, and only ADP Workforce Now showed up every single time.

BambooHR and HiBob tied for second, each named in 5 of the 6 answers (83%). Crunchr and Visier came next, each in 4 of 6 (67%). So the very top of the list is stable: five products carry two thirds or more of the answers, and the assistants held onto them across most phrasings of the question.

The middle of the pack thins out fast. Culture Amp and Rippling were each named in 3 of 6 answers (50%). Below them, four products tied at 2 of 6 (33%): Deel Payroll, Personio, Remote, and ThoughtSpot. Everything else was a single mention.

One brand wore two name tags. Deel showed up as "Deel Payroll" in 2 answers and as the bare "Deel" in 1, so the vendor's name actually surfaced in 3 answers, but we count the labels exactly as the assistants wrote them and never merge them. No single row below shows a 3 for Deel, and that is on purpose.

How the shortlist changed with the question

The buyer's exact words reshuffled the list, and this is the most useful thing in the data. Each of the six questions returned 8 products, but which 8 depended heavily on the phrasing.

The bare "best hr analytics software" question leaned toward dedicated analytics platforms: Visier, ADP Workforce Now, Crunchr, One Model, ThoughtSpot, BambooHR, SAP Analytics Cloud, and HiBob. Two of those appeared in this question and nowhere else: One Model and SAP Analytics Cloud (each 1 of 6). Ask plainly for "best" and you get the heavyweight analytics tools.

The "best free hr analytics software" question looked different. It named Power BI, Crunchr, Visier, ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR, Deel, SafetyCulture, and ThoughtSpot. Three of those showed up only in the free question: Power BI, Deel, and SafetyCulture (each 1 of 6). The word "free" is the only thing that pulled a general BI tool like Power BI and an ops tool like SafetyCulture into an HR analytics answer.

The "most affordable hr analytics software" question surfaced yet another set: BambooHR, HiBob, Personio, ADP Workforce Now, Deel Payroll, Culture Amp, Remote, and Employment Hero. Employment Hero appeared only here (1 of 6), and Personio first enters the picture on price, showing up in the affordable and the recommendations questions (2 of 6 total).

Two more phrasings added their own one-off names. "Best for small teams" was the only question to name Gusto, Zimyo, and intelliHR (each 1 of 6). "Recommendations" was the only one to name Oracle Analytics (1 of 6). In total, 10 of the 21 products were named just once, and almost every one of those single mentions was tied to one specific way of asking. A vendor can be the answer for "free" and invisible for "best."

Where the answers came from

There were 48 source citations across the six answers, drawn from 22 distinct domains, a steady 8 sources per answer. The domains, not the products, are what the assistants actually read.

Four domains tied as the most-cited, each feeding 5 of the 6 answers: aihr.com, hr.university, personio.com, and thoughtspot.com. That is the retrieval backbone for this category.

Here is the key insight: two of those four top sources are vendor-owned. personio.com fed 5 of 6 answers and Personio the product was named in 2. thoughtspot.com fed 5 of 6 answers and ThoughtSpot was named in 2. Rippling did the same at smaller scale, with rippling.com feeding 1 answer while Rippling was named in 3. The vendors who publish the "best HR analytics software" roundups are getting themselves onto the list, so publishing the comparison is a way into it.

Review directories showed up unevenly. G2 was in: g2.com fed 3 of 6 answers and its learning subdomain learn.g2.com fed another 3. Gartner fed 2. Capterra did not appear in any of the six answers.

Community threads were thin. Quora fed 1 answer and Reddit fed none. For a software category that is unusual, and it matters: there is no Reddit thread deciding this one, so the winnable surface is roundup articles and vendor content, not forum karma. The long tail filled the rest, with playroll.com and youtube.com at 3 each, kickidler.com at 2, and single mentions for peoplemanagingpeople.com, technologyadvice.com, hireroad.com, praisidio.com, agile-hr-analytics.com, zoho.com, coursera.org, and mygreatlearning.com.

What we'd do to get named here

If you sell HR analytics software, the source list decided who got named, not market share, so the job is to be on those exact pages. ADP Workforce Now did not win 6 of 6 because it is the biggest; it won because it sits on the pages the assistants pulled.

Concretely, that means being present on the four domains that fed 5 answers each (aihr.com, hr.university, personio.com, thoughtspot.com), on both G2 URLs that fed 3 each, and in the Gartner and roundup content behind the rest. If you are not in that retrieval set, you cannot be named, no matter your revenue.

The vendor-domain result is your cheapest lever. Personio and ThoughtSpot earned citations through their own domains, each feeding 5 of 6 answers, and both landed in the results too. That is a page you fully control. Reddit fed zero answers here, so there is no thread to go win; put the effort into a roundup you can get listed on and an honest comparison on your own site.

Where Glotier fits

Glotier does not sell HR analytics software, so we are correctly absent from all six of these answers, and we would not want to be listed. What you just read is the exact measurement we run for a customer's own category: six real buyer questions, live searches, every product and every source recorded, so you can see which questions name you, which name your rivals, and which pages you would need to be on to change that. The check is free, takes about a minute, and needs no account.

The full list, counted

Products named in two or more of the six answers, plus the second label the assistants used for Deel. Counts and names are exactly as measured, and we do not merge the two Deel labels into a combined figure.

The questions we asked

One live web search per question, put to serper+or:chatgpt, gemini on 2026-08-04. 6 of 6 came back with an answer we could read. Whether a product was named is decided by looking for it in the answer text, not by asking a model for its opinion.

Questions people ask

What is the best HR analytics software according to ChatGPT and Gemini?
In our 2026-08-04 measurement, ADP Workforce Now was the only product named in all six answers (6 of 6, 100%). BambooHR and HiBob tied next at 5 of 6 (83%), then Crunchr and Visier at 4 of 6 (67%). Those five products carried the top of every version of the question we asked.
Which HR analytics tools come up when you ask for free options?
The "best free hr analytics software" answer named eight products: Power BI, Crunchr, Visier, ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR, Deel, SafetyCulture, and ThoughtSpot. Three of them appeared only in the free question (each 1 of 6): Power BI, Deel, and SafetyCulture. Being named in the free question is not proof of a free plan, it just shows what the assistants reach for when "free" is in the query, including a general BI tool like Power BI.
What is the most affordable HR analytics software?
The "most affordable" answer named BambooHR, HiBob, Personio, ADP Workforce Now, Deel Payroll, Culture Amp, Remote, and Employment Hero. Employment Hero appeared only in this question (1 of 6), and Personio surfaced here and in the recommendations question (2 of 6 total). The affordable list is a different set from the bare "best" list, which leaned toward Visier, Crunchr, One Model, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
Do review sites like G2 and Capterra drive these AI answers?
G2 did: g2.com fed 3 of 6 answers and its subdomain learn.g2.com fed another 3. Gartner fed 2. Capterra did not appear in any of the six answers. The four most-cited domains were not classic directories at all, they were aihr.com, hr.university, personio.com, and thoughtspot.com, each feeding 5 of 6 answers.
How do I get my HR analytics product named by AI assistants?
Get onto the pages they cite, because the source list decided who got named, not market share. Two vendors, Personio and ThoughtSpot, earned citations through their own domains (each feeding 5 of 6 answers) and both landed in the results, so your own comparison page is a real lever. Reddit fed zero answers here and Quora just one, so the winnable surface for this category is roundup articles and vendor content, not forum threads.
