When we asked ChatGPT and Gemini the six ways a buyer actually searches for sales dialer software, two products tied at the top: CloudTalk and Orum, each named in 4 of the 6 answers. No product was named in all six.

We ran the check on 2026-08-06, one live web search per question, and recorded every product each assistant named and every source it pulled. Across the six questions, 24 different products were named at least once, but only 6 of them appeared in more than one answer. The other 18 were named exactly once and nowhere else.

Behind CloudTalk and Orum at 4 of 6, four products tied at 3 of 6: Convoso, Five9, NICE CXone, and PhoneBurner. That is the complete repeat-mention list. Every other named product, 18 in all, showed up in a single answer.

When "free" and "affordable" rewrote the whole list

The shortlist changed almost completely depending on how the question was phrased, and this is the part worth studying. The bare "best sales dialer software" question returned eight products: Mojo Dialer, Dialer360, Orum, CloudTalk, Convoso, Five9, NICE CXone, and Skipcall. Three of those eight, Mojo Dialer, Dialer360, and Skipcall, appeared in no other answer.

When we added the word "free," the list collapsed to one product. "Best free sales dialer software" returned only Calley, and Calley showed up in none of the other five answers. Neither CloudTalk nor Orum, the two overall leaders, was named once the question was about free tools.

"Most affordable sales dialer software" produced a completely different shortlist of eight: Myphoner, 3CX, Dialpad, Kixie, PhoneBurner, Hubspot, RingCentral Engage Voice, and Allo Allo. Seven of those eight appeared in no other answer. Only PhoneBurner carried over from the leaders, and CloudTalk and Orum were absent again.

The other three questions each added their own one-off names. "What sales dialer software should I use" brought in four products that appeared nowhere else, FastCall, Close, Nextiva, and Klenty Dialer, alongside repeat leaders CloudTalk and Orum. "Best sales dialer software for small teams" added two names seen only there, Readymode and Ringover. "Sales dialer software recommendations" was the closest to a consensus list, returning seven products: CloudTalk, Convoso, Five9, NICE CXone, Orum, PhoneBurner, plus Saleshandy Dialer, which appeared only in that answer.

Put together, 18 of the 24 named products lived in exactly one of the six answers. If you only checked the ranking for "best sales dialer software," you would have missed the seven products that own the "most affordable" answer and the single product that owns "free."

Where the answers came from

Two domains fed every answer. Reddit and cloudtalk.io each appeared as a source in all 6 of the 6 answers. No other domain came close.

The key insight is cloudtalk.io. It is a vendor's own domain, it was cited in all six answers, and CloudTalk the product was named in four of them. The company's own published comparisons and roundups are doing the work of getting it named. It is the clearest case in this data of owned content turning into an AI mention.

Reddit was the other domain in all six answers, and Quora fed one, the "free" question. Community threads, not review directories, were the backbone here. Among directories, G2 appeared in 3 of the 6 answers, while Capterra did not appear at all, and neither did TrustRadius or Software Advice. One directory carried some weight; the rest were invisible.

Roundup and media sites filled the middle: getvoip.com in 3 answers, then thecxlead.com, croclub.com, cleverly.co, and trellus.ai at 2 each. A long tail of single-appearance sources included leadmailbox.com, agilecrm.com, trailhead.salesforce.com, and one youtube.com link.

A striking eight products were named right next to their own domain. FastCall came in with fastcall.com, Myphoner with myphoner.com, Kixie with kixie.com, Close with close.com, Mojo Dialer with mojosells.com, Skipcall with skipcall.io, Calley with getcalley.com, and Saleshandy Dialer with saleshandy.com. Owning a page that ranks for the query was often the whole reason a product made the answer. One caveat: cloudtalk.io was cited in the "free" and "affordable" answers too, yet CloudTalk itself was not named in either, so being a source does not guarantee being the pick.

What gets a dialer named

If you sell a sales dialer and want to be named, the pattern here is blunt: get into these exact sources, because across all 6 answers the assistants named products that appeared in the pages they pulled, and little else. Market share did not decide this. The source list did.

CloudTalk is the lesson to copy. Its own domain was cited in all 6 answers and it was named in 4. Publishing genuinely useful comparison content on your own site, the kind that ranks for "best sales dialer software," put it in front of both assistants on repeat.

The community layer matters just as much. Reddit fed all 6 answers and Quora fed the "free" one. If your product is absent from the threads buyers and assistants read, you are leaning entirely on your own pages and a single directory, G2, which appeared 3 times, to carry you.

The phrasing gaps are the openings. "Best free" returned one product; "most affordable" returned eight, seven of them appearing nowhere else. If your dialer fits "free" or "affordable" and is not in those answers, that is a specific, winnable page to go earn.

The full list, counted

ProductNamed inShare
CloudTalk4 of 667%
Orum4 of 667%
Convoso3 of 650%
Five93 of 650%
NICE CXone3 of 650%
PhoneBurner3 of 650%
3CX1 of 617%
Allo Allo1 of 617%
Calley1 of 617%

The last three rows are three of the 18 products that each surfaced in a single answer. The measurement lists that tail alphabetically, so 3CX, Allo Allo, and Calley sit here by alphabetical order within the tie, not because they outranked the other 15 one-mention products.

Where Glotier fits

Glotier does not sell a sales dialer, so our name is in none of these six answers, and that is correct. We would not want to appear where we do not belong.

But this measurement is exactly what we do for a customer's own category. We run the questions your buyers ask, record which products ChatGPT and Gemini name across the six questions and which pages they pull from, and show you the gap between the two. The check is free, needs no account, and takes about a minute.

The questions we asked

One live web search per question, put to serper+or:chatgpt, gemini on 2026-08-06. 6 of 6 came back with an answer we could read. Whether a product was named is decided by looking for it in the answer text, not by asking a model for its opinion.

Questions people ask

What is the best sales dialer software according to ChatGPT and Gemini?
Across six buyer questions run through ChatGPT and Gemini on 2026-08-06, CloudTalk and Orum tied for the top spot, each named in 4 of the 6 answers. Behind them, Convoso, Five9, NICE CXone, and PhoneBurner each appeared in 3 of the 6. No single product was named in all six.
What is the best free sales dialer software?
The "best free sales dialer software" question returned exactly one product: Calley. It appeared in none of the other five answers, and neither CloudTalk nor Orum, the two overall leaders at 4 of 6, was named once the question was specifically about free tools. The free query behaved nothing like the others.
What is the most affordable sales dialer software?
The "most affordable" question returned a nearly separate shortlist of eight products: Myphoner, 3CX, Dialpad, Kixie, PhoneBurner, Hubspot, RingCentral Engage Voice, and Allo Allo. Seven of those eight appeared in no other answer, and only PhoneBurner overlapped with the overall leaders. If you rank for "best" you may still be invisible on "affordable."
Which sources do ChatGPT and Gemini use to recommend sales dialers?
Two domains fed all 6 of the 6 answers: reddit.com and cloudtalk.io. G2 appeared in 3 answers and getvoip.com in 3, while Capterra, TrustRadius, and Software Advice did not appear at all. Community threads and one vendor's own domain did most of the work, not review directories.
How can my sales dialer get recommended by AI assistants?
Be present in the exact sources these answers pull from, because the source list, not market share, decided who got named. CloudTalk shows the playbook: its own domain was cited in all 6 answers and it was named in 4. Reddit fed all 6 answers and G2 fed 3, so getting into those threads, that directory, and roundups like getvoip.com is where visibility is won.
