Joveo, TalentLyft and Workable each landed in 4 of the 6 answers, the joint-highest score in this category, when we asked ChatGPT and Gemini to name the best recruitment marketing software. We put six buyer questions to the two assistants, one live web search each on 2026-08-07, and recorded every product they named. That three-way tie at 67% of the answers is as close to a consensus as this category gets, and even the leaders missed two of every six answers.
Behind them, Phenom and Zoho Recruit each appeared in 3 of the 6 answers, or 50%. No other product cleared half. Across all six questions the assistants named 25 different products in total, so the five names above the halfway line sit on top of a crowded field.
The field below the top five is thin and scattered. Of the 25 products named, 15 appeared in exactly one of the six answers, and only 10 were named more than once. A buyer who types one phrasing and a buyer who types a slightly different one can walk away with almost entirely different shortlists, even though both asked the same two assistants on the same day.
How the shortlist changed from one question to the next
The most useful thing this measurement shows is how far the shortlist moves when the question changes. The plain "best recruitment marketing software" answer named eight products: Phenom, Beamery, SmashFly, TalentLyft, Workable, Joveo, Recruit CRM and Manatal. SmashFly appeared here and nowhere else in the six answers.
Ask instead for the "best free recruitment marketing software" and the set swings hard: Breezy HR, Cliquify, Zoho Recruit, Firefish, Workable, iCIMS, TalentLyft and Loxo. Three of those eight, Breezy HR, Cliquify and Firefish, appeared only in the free question and in none of the other five.
The "most affordable" answer overlaps the free one but is not the same list: GoHire, Recruit CRM, Workable, Loxo, iCIMS, TalentLyft, Joveo and Phenom. Free and affordable share only four names (Workable, Loxo, iCIMS and TalentLyft). "Affordable" swaps in Joveo, Phenom and Recruit CRM, plus GoHire, which appeared in this one answer alone. The assistants treat "free" and "affordable" as two different questions, not synonyms.
The "for small teams" answer went somewhere else again, naming Zoho Recruit, Heyrecruit, Joveo, Enginehire, Workable, Manatal, Kondo and Bullhorn. Four of those, Heyrecruit, Enginehire, Kondo and Bullhorn, appeared only when the question mentioned small teams. Zoho Recruit is the tell: it never showed up in the plain "best" or "most affordable" answers, yet it appeared in the small-teams, free and "what should I use" answers to finish at 3 of 6 overall.
The open-ended "what recruitment marketing software should I use" produced the shortest answer of all, just three products: Jobvite Recruitment Marketing, Zoho Recruit and Clinch. Both Jobvite Recruitment Marketing and Clinch appeared here and in no other answer. And "recruitment marketing software recommendations" returned a more enterprise-flavored set, Beamery, Phenom, Symphony Talent, Sense, Paradox, Avature, Joveo and TalentLyft, four of which (Symphony Talent, Sense, Paradox and Avature) showed up in that one answer only.
Put it together and 15 of the 25 named products surfaced in a single phrasing. There is no stable top ten a buyer sees no matter how they ask. In this category the wording of the question is doing as much work as the products.
Where these answers came from
The answers rest on a small stack of pages, and one domain sits under all of them. G2 (g2.com) was cited in all 6 of the 6 answers, the only source with a perfect record. Four sites fed 4 answers each: Joveo's own site (joveo.com), People Managing People (peoplemanagingpeople.com), Recruiterflow's blog (recruiterflow.com) and SelectSoftware Reviews (selectsoftwarereviews.com). Indeed (indeed.com) fed 3.
The community showing is small but real. Reddit (reddit.com) fed 2 of the 6 answers, on the small-teams and recommendations questions. Quora did not appear at all. Among the review directories, G2 was everywhere, but TrustRadius (trustradius.com) and Comparably (comparably.com) each appeared once, and Capterra did not turn up in a single answer.
The pattern that matters most is who fed the answers about themselves. Joveo's own domain, joveo.com, was cited in 4 answers, and Joveo tied for the most-named product at 4 of 6. The vendor's page and the product's ranking rose together. The same shape repeats down the list: TalentLyft's own site (talentlyft.com) fed 2 answers and TalentLyft was named 4 times, Recruit CRM's site (recruitcrm.io) fed 2 and Recruit CRM was named twice, Zoho's site (zoho.com) fed 1 and Zoho Recruit was named 3 times. Clinch, Bullhorn, Enginehire, GoHire, Jobvite and Firefish each had their own domain in the source list, and each was named at least once.
What it takes to get named here
If you sell in this category, the source map behind these 6 answers is a to-do list. The products that got named are, almost without exception, the ones sitting on this exact set of pages: G2 (in all 6 answers), People Managing People, Recruiterflow and SelectSoftware Reviews (4 each), Indeed (3), two Reddit threads, and their own websites. Market share did not decide these answers. Presence in these sources did.
The clearest lever is the one Joveo pulled: its own domain fed 4 of the 6 answers and it tied for first. You do not have to own a category to be named in it, you have to be on the pages the assistants read. In practice that means being listed and reviewed on G2, which was cited in all 6 answers, and being covered in the roundups on People Managing People, Recruiterflow and SelectSoftware Reviews, which fed 4 answers each. It also means your own site being specific and crawlable enough to quote, the way joveo.com, talentlyft.com and recruitcrm.io were.
The flip side is the warning. If your product is on none of these pages, it is not in the answer, however good it is. Fifteen products got in on a single citation. One well-placed roundup, or one Reddit thread, was the whole difference between being named once and not named at all.

Where Glotier fits, and where it does not
You will not find Glotier in any of the 6 answers, and that is the correct result. We do not sell recruitment marketing software, so ChatGPT and Gemini had no reason to name us when buyers asked for it. Showing up here would be a bug, not a brag.
Running the measurement, though, is exactly what we do. Every number above, the 4-of-6 leaders, the fan-out from "best" to "free" to "affordable", the source map that caught joveo.com feeding its own ranking, came from pointing our check at one category and reading back what the assistants actually said. We built it to answer one question for a marketing team: when a buyer asks an AI assistant for the best tool in your category, does your product come up, and which pages decide it?
If you want the same read on your own category, the check is free, needs no account, and takes about a minute. You get your own version of this page: who gets named, how the shortlist shifts with the phrasing, and the exact sources you would need to be in.
