Recruit CRM was the only tool ChatGPT and Gemini named in all six of our buyer questions, a clean 6 of 6. We put the two assistants through the questions a marketer at a recruiting CRM company would recognise: best, best for small teams, best free, most affordable, what should I use, and a plain recommendations prompt. One live web search sat behind each answer, and we logged every product named and every domain cited. Recruit CRM is the only name that came through all six.
Recruiterflow came second, named in 5 of the 6 answers (83%). The single question it missed was "best free recruiting CRM software", where the list collapsed to four names and Recruiterflow was not one of them. On every other query, including "most affordable", it was present.
Gem was named in 4 of 6 answers (67%). Below it, six tools tied at 3 of 6 (50%) each: Beamery, Humanly, Loxo, Manatal, SAP SuccessFactors and VIVAHR. That is a wide, flat middle. After the top three, half the named field carried the exact same score, which tells you the assistants had no strong consensus once you get past Recruit CRM and Recruiterflow.
How the shortlist changed across the six questions
The bare "best recruiting CRM software" question returned eight names: Recruit CRM, VIVAHR, Gem, Recruiterflow, Loxo, Beamery, SAP SuccessFactors and SmartRecruiters. This was the widest list of the six, and the only place the enterprise suites (Beamery, SAP SuccessFactors, SmartRecruiters) showed up together.
"Best free recruiting CRM software" returned a completely different and much shorter list: just four names, Loxo, Recruit CRM, Zoho Recruit and Giig. Two of those, Zoho Recruit and Giig, appear in this one question and nowhere else across the six. The enterprise trio, plus Gem and Recruiterflow, all dropped out the moment "free" entered the query, and Loxo jumped to the front.
"Most affordable recruiting CRM software" returned a third distinct set of five: Recruit CRM, Manatal, EspoCRM, Snaphunt and Recruiterflow. Snaphunt is unique to this question, named 1 of 6 and only here. EspoCRM, an open-source option, surfaced 2 of 6 and only on the two budget-shaped questions ("affordable" and "small teams"), never on the plain "best" query.
Four products were each named in exactly one of the six questions: Workable (only in "small teams"), Zoho Recruit and Giig (only in "best free"), and Snaphunt (only in "most affordable"). None of the four appeared on the bare "best" query. The lesson for a marketer is blunt: "best" and "best free" are not the same search, and winning one does not carry you onto the other. SmartRecruiters is the mirror image, named 2 of 6 but only on the general questions ("best" and "what should I use"), never on a price-shaped one.
The source map: who fed the answers
Three domains fed all six answers: reddit.com, peoplemanagingpeople.com and selectsoftwarereviews.com, each cited in 6 of 6. Every single answer, including the two price questions, leaned on one Reddit community thread and two editorial roundup sites. If you want to know where these assistants get their recruiting-CRM opinions, that trio is the start.
Here is the key insight. recruitcrm.io, Recruit CRM's own website, was cited in 5 of the 6 answers (83%), the fourth most-cited domain overall, and Recruit CRM was the one product named in all six. The most-named product also owns one of the most-cited sources. That is the mechanism, not a coincidence you can wave off as market share: the assistant read the vendor's own pages and repeated the vendor's name.
The same pattern repeats further down. Loxo's own domain loxo.co fed 3 of 6 answers, its subdomain hiringmachine.loxo.co fed the one free-CRM answer, and Loxo was named 3 times. giighire.com fed exactly one answer, and Giig was named in exactly that one. zoho.com fed one answer, and Zoho Recruit was named in that one. Every time a vendor's own domain showed up in the sources, that vendor's product showed up in the answer.
The classic review directories barely registered. gartner.com was cited in 2 of 6 answers, and it was the only analyst or directory site to appear at all. G2 and Capterra, the two directories most software marketers obsess over, were cited in 0 of the 6 answers. Community and roundup content did the work instead: quora.com added a second community source at 2 of 6, while hubspot.com, asymbl.com and leonar.app supplied roundup content at 4, 4 and 3 of 6 respectively.
What a recruiting CRM vendor would do to get named
If you sell in this category and want ChatGPT or Gemini to name you, the source list is your to-do list. Be present in the three domains that fed all six answers (reddit.com, peoplemanagingpeople.com, selectsoftwarereviews.com), then in the roundups that fed four (hubspot.com, asymbl.com at 4 of 6 each). Those five domains, not your market share, decided who got named.
Recruit CRM's result is the clearest playbook in the data: it publishes on its own domain, that domain was cited in 5 of 6 answers, and the product was named 6 of 6. You do not control Reddit, but you do control your own site, and the assistants plainly read it. G2 and Capterra earned 0 of 6 citations here, so budget poured into directory profiles would not have moved a single one of these six answers.

Below the top nine, EspoCRM and SmartRecruiters were each named 2 of 6, and Giig, Snaphunt, Workable and Zoho Recruit were each named 1 of 6. Fifteen products were named across the six answers in total. Every count here is a raw tally of how many of the six answers mentioned that product, nothing weighted or modelled.
Where Glotier fits
Glotier does not sell recruiting CRM software, and you will not find us in any of these six answers. That is correct. We are not a recruiting CRM, so an assistant naming us here would be wrong, and we ran this on a category we have no product in precisely so the result stays clean.
This is exactly what we do for the category you do sell in, though. We ask ChatGPT and Gemini the buyer questions for your niche the same six-question way we asked these, record who gets named and which domains fed each answer, and hand you the source list that is really deciding it. If your product is not named in your own category, you would want to know, and most vendors have never checked. The check is free, there is no account, and it takes about a minute.
