ZoomInfo was the only intent data tool ChatGPT and Gemini named in all 6 of 6 answers when we put six different buyer questions to the two assistants. No other product was unanimous. On 2026-08-06 we ran each question through ChatGPT and Gemini with one live web search, then recorded every product named and every source domain behind it.
Right behind ZoomInfo sat a tight second tier: 6sense, Bombora and Demandbase were each named in 5 of 6 answers (83%). Those four, ZoomInfo plus those three, are what a buyer will see from ChatGPT or Gemini almost every time, whatever words they use.
The list thins out fast after that. Cognism and G2 each landed in 4 of 6 answers (67%), Dealfront and TechTarget in 3 of 6 (50%), and Lead Forensics in 2 of 6 (33%). Every remaining product was named in exactly 1 of 6 answers, and that single-mention group is where the real story sits.
The shape of the category is concentrated at the top and long at the tail: 9 of the 15 products we recorded were named more than once, and the top four, ZoomInfo, 6sense, Bombora and Demandbase, appeared together in 5 of the 6 answers. The only answer that broke that pattern was the free one.
The shortlist changes with the question
The plain "best intent data software" question returned eight names: Bombora, Demandbase, ZoomInfo, 6sense, Cognism, Lead Forensics, G2 and Foundry. Foundry appeared here and nowhere else, its only mention in 1 of 6 answers.
"Most affordable intent data software" held the same top names but swapped two labels: alongside ZoomInfo, 6sense, Bombora, Demandbase, Cognism and Dealfront, G2 became "G2 Buyer Intent" and TechTarget became "TechTarget Priority Engine," the specific paid products rather than the parent brands. Each of those two labels appeared in just 1 of 6 answers.
"Best free intent data software" is where the shortlist collapsed. Instead of eight names it returned only three: ZoomInfo, Factors.ai and Diginius Insight. ZoomInfo was the only paid mainstay to survive into the free list, and the assistants treated "free" as a different question with different answers, not a discount on the same one. Factors.ai and Diginius Insight appeared in this answer and nowhere else, 1 of 6 each.
"Intent data software recommendations" added the last name unique to a single question, TrustRadius, in 1 of 6 answers. Add it up and six products, Foundry, Factors.ai, Diginius Insight, TrustRadius, and the two re-labelled variants, owe their entire presence to one phrasing out of six.
This is the part worth copying when you measure your own category: one prompt is not a measurement. Had we asked only "best intent data software," we would have logged Foundry but missed the other seven products, among them TrustRadius, Factors.ai, Diginius Insight and Dealfront, and never seen the free-tool answer at all.
Where the answers came from
Three domains fed 6 of 6 answers: demandbase.com, getuntitled.ai and reddit.com. Every answer in the study leaned on at least one of them, and Reddit was in all 6, so community threads are load-bearing here, not a nice-to-have.
The key insight is in the vendor domains. Five of the twelve source domains belong to vendors that were then named in the answers: demandbase.com fed 6 answers and Demandbase was named in 5; pipeline.zoominfo.com fed 5 and ZoomInfo in 6; cognism.com fed 5 and Cognism in 4; factors.ai fed 2 and Factors.ai in 1; 6sense.com fed 1 and 6sense in 5. These vendors publish their own "best intent data software" roundups, the assistants read them, and the vendors end up on their own lists.
Review directories showed up unevenly. G2 was both a top source (g2.com in 5 of 6 answers) and a named product (G2 in 4 of 6), the only name in the study that is at once a source and a recommendation. Capterra did not appear in a single answer, and TrustRadius was named once as a product yet trustradius.com never fed an answer.
The rest of the map is roundups and agency posts: getuntitled.ai (6 of 6), percepture.com (4 of 6), and three one-off blogs, bullseye.so, blog.revpartners.io and autobound.ai, at 1 of 6 each. No news outlet, no analyst report, no Wikipedia. All 6 answers were built from Reddit, vendor blogs, G2 and a short stack of listicles.
What a vendor here would actually do
If we sold intent data software, we would stop arguing about market share and get placed in these exact 12 domains, because that source list is what the assistants actually read. Five vendors here had their own domain cited and all five were named, which says placement in the sources, not company size, is what put a product in the answer.
The first move worth making is a roundup on your own domain. Five vendor-owned pages fed answers and all five of those vendors got named, so a clear "best intent data software" post on your own site is content the assistants will quote back, and it is the one source you fully control.
After that it is Reddit and G2. Reddit fed 6 of 6 answers and G2 fed 5 of 6, so live participation in the threads and a maintained G2 profile decide whether you show up in the sources at all. Every named product traced back to a cited source, and nothing in the data points to market share as the deciding factor.
The full list, counted
| Product | Named in | Share |
|---|---|---|
| ZoomInfo | 6 of 6 | 100% |
| 6sense | 5 of 6 | 83% |
| Bombora | 5 of 6 | 83% |
| Demandbase | 5 of 6 | 83% |
| Cognism | 4 of 6 | 67% |
| G2 | 4 of 6 | 67% |
| Dealfront | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| TechTarget | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| Lead Forensics | 2 of 6 | 33% |
| G2 Buyer Intent | 1 of 6 | 17% |
| TechTarget Priority Engine | 1 of 6 | 17% |
Two brands were recorded under two labels, and we kept them apart. G2 was named as "G2" in 4 answers and as "G2 Buyer Intent" in 1; TechTarget as "TechTarget" in 3 and as "TechTarget Priority Engine" in 1. We show each label with its own count instead of adding them into a total the data never produced. Four more products were named once each and sit just below this table: Foundry, Factors.ai, Diginius Insight and TrustRadius.
Why Glotier is not on this list
Glotier does not sell intent data software, so we are correctly absent from all 6 answers, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. That absence is the whole point: these assistants name whoever the sources name, and no source in this category has written us in.
What you just read is the entire job Glotier does, aimed at one category that happens not to be ours. We run six buyer questions for your category through ChatGPT and Gemini, record who gets named and which sources decided it, and hand you the same map you see above. If you sell intent data software, you can pull your own version in about a minute, free, and without making an account.
