Five tools tied for the top of this category: 6sense, Demandbase One, HubSpot Marketing Hub, RollWorks and Terminus were each named in 4 of the 6 answers when we asked ChatGPT and Gemini the questions a buyer types before buying account-based marketing software. No single product ran away with it. The lead is a five-way tie at 67%.
We ran this on 2026-08-03: six buyer questions, one live web search each, put to ChatGPT and Gemini, with every product named and every source domain logged. Nineteen product labels came up across the six answers, but only 9 were named more than once, so 10 labels appeared in a single answer and never again.
What changed when we changed the question
The bare query "best account-based marketing software" returned 8 products: Demandbase One, Terminus, 6sense, ZoomInfo, N.Rich, Leadfeeder, HubSpot and Salesforce. Salesforce appeared here and in none of the other five answers, so the plain "best" question is the only place that CRM giant surfaced.
"best free account-based marketing software" returned 7 products, and not one of them is actually free at the level these tools sell: Demandbase, 6sense, Terminus, RollWorks, Leadfeeder, N.Rich and ZoomInfo. The "free" framing recycled the same paid enterprise platforms instead of surfacing a genuinely free tool, which tells you how thin the real "free ABM" content is.
"most affordable account-based marketing software" returned 5 products: RollWorks, Demandbase, Terminus, HubSpot Marketing Hub and 6sense. RollWorks headed the affordable answer and also appeared in the free answer, yet it never showed up in the bare "best" list, so RollWorks is the budget-framed pick that only appears once price enters the question.
The wording of the question decided who got named. "for small teams" was the only answer that named Apollo and Propensity. "what should I use" was the only answer that named Influ2 and Marketo. "recommendations" was the only answer that named AdRoll ABM. Six brands each surfaced in exactly one of the six questions, which means a marketer watching only the headline "best" query would never see five of them.
Where the answers came from
Four domains fed all 6 answers: demandbase.com, g2.com, nrich.io and reddit.com each appeared in 6 of 6, with gartner.com close behind at 5 of 6. The source base is narrow: five domains form the backbone of every answer in this category.
Reddit was the only community source, present in 6 of 6 answers. No Quora thread and no other forum appeared once. In this category the "what do teams actually run" signal comes entirely from Reddit.
Of the classic review directories, G2 did all the work and Capterra did none: g2.com appeared in 6 of 6 answers, gartner.com in 5 of 6, and Capterra appeared in 0 of 6. If you sell ABM software and you are tracking Capterra rank, this data says the assistants are not reading it.
The key finding sits in the vendor domains. Two of the four sites that fed every answer were vendors' own: demandbase.com (6 of 6) and nrich.io (6 of 6), and both companies got their product named, Demandbase across its labels and N.Rich in 3 answers. In total five vendor domains fed answers and every one had its product named: demandbase.com, nrich.io, salesforce.com (4 of 6), hubspot.com (2 of 6) and leadfeeder.com (2 of 6). A vendor's own "best ABM software" page became the source the assistant quoted, and the vendor on that page got named.
The remaining sources were roundup and listicle domains feeding a minority of answers: tofuhq.com and usergems.com at 3 of 6 each, then metadata.io, newnorth.com, xgrowth.com.au and zenabm.com at 1 of 6 each. metadata.io fed an answer but Metadata was never named, a clean reminder that being a source is not the same as being the product named.
What this means if you sell ABM software
Market share did not decide these answers, the source list did. 6sense, Demandbase One, HubSpot Marketing Hub, RollWorks and Terminus each reached 4 of 6 because they sit inside the exact pages the assistants pulled: G2, Gartner, Reddit and a few vendor roundups, not because a ranking says they are biggest.
To get named, be present in those specific sources. That means a live G2 listing, which was in 6 of 6 answers, a presence in the Reddit threads the assistants read, also 6 of 6, and your own comparison page, which is the most controllable of the three: a vendor's own domain fed 6 of 6 answers here.
Publishing your own honest "best ABM software" roundup is the single most repeatable move this data supports. nrich.io did exactly that and its content fed all 6 answers while getting N.Rich named in 3. You cannot buy your way into a Reddit thread, but you can publish the page and earn the G2 reviews.
The full list, counted
| Product | Named in | Share |
|---|---|---|
| 6sense | 4 of 6 | 67% |
| Demandbase One | 4 of 6 | 67% |
| HubSpot Marketing Hub | 4 of 6 | 67% |
| RollWorks | 4 of 6 | 67% |
| Terminus | 4 of 6 | 67% |
| N.Rich | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| ZoomInfo | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| Demandbase | 2 of 6 | 33% |
| Leadfeeder | 2 of 6 | 33% |
Several brands were counted under two labels and we left them split exactly as measured, rather than adding a number the data does not show. Demandbase One (4 of 6) and Demandbase (2 of 6) are the same company. So are HubSpot Marketing Hub (4 of 6) and HubSpot (1 of 6), 6sense (4 of 6) and 6sense Revenue Intelligence Platform (1 of 6), Terminus (4 of 6) and Terminus ABM Platform (1 of 6), and ZoomInfo (3 of 6) and ZoomInfo Marketing (1 of 6). The assistants named them separately, so we counted them separately.
Why we ran this
Glotier does not sell account-based marketing software, so we are correctly absent from all 6 of these answers. That is the right result. An honest measurement should not name a product that does not belong in the category, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
This measurement is exactly what Glotier does for a customer's own category. We ask the same AI assistants the questions your buyers actually type, then show you which products get named and which source pages fed each answer, so you can see whether you are the vendor being quoted or the vendor being skipped.
If you sell in this category, the useful question is not whether you are the best tool, it is whether you are named in 4 of 6 answers or 0 of 6. That is a number you can now watch. The check is free, needs no account and takes about a minute.
