Two tools were named in every single answer: DSMN8 and EveryoneSocial each turned up in 6 of 6 responses when we asked ChatGPT and Gemini to recommend employee advocacy software on 7 August 2026. No other product came close to that clean sweep. This is a measurement, not our opinion. We put six buyer-style questions to the two assistants, each backed by one live web search, and logged every product they named and every source page they leaned on.
After those two constants, the field falls away fast. Haiilo and Hootsuite Amplify were each named in 4 of 6 answers, Octopost and Sprout Social in 3 of 6, and a middle pack of GaggleAMP, Sharebee, Sociabble, Sprinklr and Vulse in 2 of 6 apiece. Eighteen different products were named in total across the six questions, so being "recommended" in this category is a crowded and movable thing, not a fixed top three.
How the wording changed the shortlist
The most important finding is that the shortlist rewrote itself depending on how the question was phrased. Only 2 of the 18 named products, DSMN8 and EveryoneSocial, appeared under every wording. The other 16 came and went, and 7 of the 18 showed up for exactly one phrasing of the question.
The bare "best employee advocacy software" query returned 7 products: DSMN8, EveryoneSocial, Octopost, Haiilo, Sharebee, Influitive and Sprinklr. Influitive appeared here and in none of the other five questions. Just as telling, this "best" answer contained neither Hootsuite Amplify nor Sprout Social, two names that went on to dominate the price-focused queries.
Change the word to "free" and the list flips. "Best free employee advocacy software" returned 6 products: Hootsuite Amplify, Sprout Social, DSMN8, Clearview Social, EveryoneSocial and Vulse. Clearview Social was named in this question only. Hootsuite Amplify and Sprout Social, both absent from the bare "best" answer, led the free list.
"Most affordable employee advocacy software" produced a third, different set of 8: Hootsuite Amplify, EveryoneSocial, Haiilo, Sprout Social, GaggleAMP, DSMN8, Firstup and Sociabble. Firstup surfaced here and nowhere else. So a buyer who types "affordable" and a buyer who types "best" are handed two overlapping-but-different shortlists from the same assistants on the same day.
The other three questions each minted their own one-off names too. "For small teams" was the only place AdvocateHub and Sprout Social Advocacy appeared. "What should I use" was the only place PostBeyond appeared. And "recommendations" was the only place Supergrow itself was named. Seven single-question products out of 18 means roughly 4 in 10 of the "recommended" tools hang entirely on one specific phrasing.
Where the answers came from
Four domains were cited in all 6 answers: gartner.com, hootsuite.com, linkedin.com and sproutsocial.com. Supergrow's own site, supergrow.ai, sat just behind at 5 of 6. Those five pages did most of the work of deciding who got named.
Community threads barely featured. Reddit appeared in 2 of 6 answers and Quora did not appear at all. Among dedicated review directories, Gartner was cited in all 6 answers and G2 in just 1 of 6, while Capterra never showed up once. For this category the assistants leaned on one research directory (Gartner), a professional network (LinkedIn), and vendor blogs, not on the crowd-review sites many software teams pour their energy into.
Here is the insight worth the whole exercise: the vendors that got named were, in several cases, cited from their own websites. Hootsuite Amplify was named in 4 of 6 answers while hootsuite.com fed all 6; Sprout Social was named in 3 of 6 while sproutsocial.com fed all 6. Haiilo was named in 4 of 6 with haiilo.com cited in 3, and DSMN8, EveryoneSocial, Sprinklr, Clearview Social, Influitive and PostBeyond each had their own domain appear as a source with their product named. Publishing your own "best employee advocacy software" roundup is not vanity here. It is one of the pages the assistant reads back to the buyer.
Supergrow is the sharpest version of this. Its domain supergrow.ai was cited in 5 of 6 answers, more than any single review site, yet the Supergrow product itself was named in only 1 of 6. A vendor can win the citation game, becoming the page the AI trusts, while barely appearing in its own recommendation. Being the source moved far more weight than being the product.
What a vendor in this category should take from it
If you sell employee advocacy software, the practical lesson is that the source list, not market share, decided who got named. The two products named in every answer, DSMN8 and EveryoneSocial at 6 of 6 each, are specialist advocacy tools, and they were named more than twice as often as Sprinklr (2 of 6), a much broader and better-known social suite. The assistants ranked by who the cited pages list first, not by company size.
So the work is concrete. Get into the Gartner entry that fed all 6 answers. Get mentioned in the roundups that ranked here, supergrow.ai at 5 of 6 and thecmo.com at 2 of 6. Be discussed where LinkedIn (6 of 6) and Reddit (2 of 6) point. And publish your own comparison page the way Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Haiilo do, because their own domains were cited in 6, 6 and 3 answers respectively. You cannot buy a spot on this list, but you can earn a place in the exact pages it is assembled from.
The full list, counted
| Product | Named in | Share |
|---|---|---|
| DSMN8 | 6 of 6 | 100% |
| EveryoneSocial | 6 of 6 | 100% |
| Haiilo | 4 of 6 | 67% |
| Hootsuite Amplify | 4 of 6 | 67% |
| Octopost | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| Sprout Social | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| GaggleAMP | 2 of 6 | 33% |
| Sharebee | 2 of 6 | 33% |
| Sociabble | 2 of 6 | 33% |
| Sprinklr | 2 of 6 | 33% |
| Vulse | 2 of 6 | 33% |
| Sprout Social Advocacy | 1 of 6 | 17% |
That last row is the same vendor as Sprout Social, recorded by the assistants under a second label. We keep both exactly as measured, "Sprout Social" at 3 of 6 and "Sprout Social Advocacy" at 1 of 6, rather than adding them into a 4 the data never actually produced. Below this table sit six more products named once each: AdvocateHub, Clearview Social, Firstup, Influitive, PostBeyond and Supergrow, the single-question names from the fan-out above.
Why we ran this
We do not sell employee advocacy software, so Glotier is correctly absent from all six of these answers, and we would not want it faked in. But running the measurement itself, asking the assistants a buyer's real questions and then reading back exactly who was named and which pages decided it, is precisely what Glotier does for a customer's own category. If employee advocacy is your market, the same check on your product takes about a minute, needs no account, and is free.
