When we asked ChatGPT and Gemini for the best no-code app builder six different ways on 2026-08-03, two names came back every single time: Adalo and FlutterFlow, each named in 6 of 6 answers (100%). No other product matched them. This is one measurement, six buyer questions, one live web search per assistant, with every product and every source domain recorded.
Bubble and Glide formed the second tier, each named in 5 of 6 answers (83%). Bubble was left out of exactly one question, "what no-code app builders should I use," and Glide was left out of exactly one, "best free no-code app builders." So four products carried the field: Adalo, FlutterFlow, Bubble and Glide each landed in at least 5 of the 6 answers, and everything else was named 3 times or fewer.
After the top four, the shortlist thinned fast. Blaze was named in 3 of 6 answers (50%). Emergent and Zite were each named in 2 of 6 (33%). The other 14 products in the set were each named in exactly 1 of 6 answers (17%), which means a single phrasing was enough to summon them or drop them.
How the shortlist changed with the question
The six questions read almost the same in plain English, but the products moved a lot. Across all six we recorded 21 distinct products, and 14 of them showed up in only one of the six sub-questions. There is no single "no-code app builders" ranking hiding behind these assistants, there are at least six.
"Best free no-code app builders" and "most affordable no-code app builders" sound like the same buyer, but they returned almost different lists. The free question named Adalo, FlutterFlow, Bubble, Appgyver, Zite, BuildBox and DreamFlow (7 products). The affordable question named Adalo, Glide, Bubble, GoodBarber, FlutterFlow, Lovable, Buildfire and Bolt.new (8 products). They share only three names: Adalo, FlutterFlow and Bubble. Appgyver, BuildBox and DreamFlow appeared only under "free." GoodBarber, Lovable, Buildfire and Bolt.new appeared only under "affordable." Note too that Glide, a top-four product overall, was absent from the free list entirely.
The other single-question products tell the same story. The bare "best no-code app builders" question was the only place Natively Modern and Firebase Studio appeared. "What no-code app builders should I use" was the only question to surface Zapier and Claude Code. "Best for small teams" was the only one to name Softr. And "no-code app builders recommendations" was the only question that named Thunkable and AppSheet. Each of those seven products was named in 1 of 6 answers and vanished from the other five.
The lesson we take from this: only Adalo and FlutterFlow survived all 6 of 6 phrasings. Change one word, free, affordable, for small teams, and more than half of the 21 products changed with it. If you only ever check the plain "best" query, you are seeing one sixth of your real exposure.
The source map: who fed the answers
Behind the 6 answers sat 13 source domains. Three were fetched for every single question: reddit.com (6 of 6), zapier.com (6 of 6) and zite.com (6 of 6). YouTube followed at 5 of 6. Those four domains did most of the work in every answer we measured.
Community threads carried real weight. reddit.com was cited in all 6 of 6 answers and quora.com in 3 of 6, so a public forum thread sat behind every one of the six answers. The rest were roundup and blog posts: blaze.tech (4 of 6), blog.teamtreehouse.com (2 of 6), medium.com (2 of 6), plus one appearance each from bubble.io, goodbarber.com, knack.com and stackby.com. The "best for small teams" question was the only one to pull bubble.io, knack.com and stackby.com as sources.
Here is the finding we would circle for anyone selling in this category: vendors' own domains fed the answers, and those vendors got named. adalo.com was cited in 3 of 6 answers and Adalo was named in 6 of 6. blaze.tech was cited in 4 of 6 answers and Blaze was named in 3 of 6. Publishing your own comparison or roundup page is not vanity here, it is one of the exact source slots ChatGPT and Gemini actually read.
The reverse showed up too. zite.com and zapier.com were each cited in all 6 of 6 answers, yet Zite the product was named in only 2 of 6 and Zapier in only 1 of 6. Their pages fed every answer, but the rankings on those pages mostly handed the citations to Adalo, FlutterFlow, Bubble and Glide. Being the source is the ticket in, it does not guarantee the source names you first.
One absence is worth stating plainly: no review directory appeared. G2 and Capterra were cited in 0 of 6 answers. For this category, on this date, the classic software review sites fed none of what ChatGPT and Gemini said. Reddit and a handful of roundups did instead.
What we would do to get named here
If we sold a no-code app builder, we would stop thinking about market share and start thinking about this 13-domain source list, because the source list, not the size of the company, decided who got named. Concretely, from this data: get discussed on Reddit (behind 6 of 6 answers) and Quora (behind 3 of 6); land in the Zapier and Zite roundups (each behind 6 of 6); get into YouTube comparisons (5 of 6); and publish our own comparison page, since adalo.com (3 of 6) and blaze.tech (4 of 6) prove a vendor's own domain can be a cited source. Every one of the named products traces back to those pages. Products with real markets but no presence in these sources simply did not appear in any of the 6 answers.
Where Glotier fits
We do not sell a no-code app builder, so Glotier is correctly absent from all 6 of these answers, and we would not pretend otherwise. But this page is the exact thing we run for a customer's own category: the same six buyer questions, the real assistants, every product and every source domain counted, so you can see who AI names and which pages put them there. If you sell in a category like this one, your own version of this table is measurable, and it moves week to week. The check is free, no account, about a minute.
