Miradore was named in 4 of the 6 answers we measured, more than any other mobile device management product. We put six buyer questions about MDM software to ChatGPT and Gemini on 2026-08-07, one live web search per question, and recorded every product each answer named. Miradore led at 4 of 6, and no product was named in all six.
Six products tied for second, each named in 3 of the 6 answers: IBM MaaS360, Jamf Pro, ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus, Microsoft Intune, myMDM and SOTI MobiControl. That group is the recognizable core of the market, and yet even these names cleared only half of the six questions.
In all, 23 different products were named across the six questions, but only 10 of them were named more than once. The remaining 13 products each appeared in exactly one of the six phrasings, the first sign that in this category the wording of the question shapes the shortlist as much as the products do.
How the shortlist changed from question to question
The plain "best mobile device management software" question returned seven products, led by enterprise names: Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune and SOTI MobiControl, alongside Codeproof Cyber Device Manager, LogMeIn Resolve MDM, myMDM and Venn. Two of those seven, Codeproof Cyber Device Manager and Venn, were named here and in none of the other five questions.
Swap "best" for "best free" and the list almost completely turns over. The "best free mobile device management software" answer named five products: myMDM, Miradore, MDMesh, PlainApp and Tether MDM. Three of the five, MDMesh, PlainApp and Tether MDM, appeared in this single question and nowhere else in the set.
"Most affordable mobile device management software" produced a third, largely separate shortlist of seven: EzMDM, Miradore, MobyServ, DroidMDM, IBM MaaS360, myMDM and MamboEMM. Four of these, EzMDM, MobyServ, DroidMDM and MamboEMM, were unique to the affordability question, so the cheapest shortlist shares almost nothing with the "best" one beyond myMDM.
The narrower framings added their own one-off names. "For small teams" was the only question to surface Jamf Now and Mosyle Business, and "what mobile device management software should I use" was the only one to name JumpCloud and NinjaOne. Counting them all, 13 of the 23 products, more than half, were tied to a single wording.
Only two products crossed the "best", "free" and "affordable" framings. Miradore reached its category-leading 4 of 6 by winning the small-teams, free, affordable and recommendations questions, while never appearing on the bare "best" or "what should I use" queries at all. myMDM was the only product named across best, free and affordable at once, for 3 of 6.
Where the answers came from
The most-used source was learn.g2.com, part of the G2 review network, which fed 4 of the 6 answers. So G2 did appear, right at the top. Capterra did not appear at all, and the only other directories present were Software Advice on 3 answers and TrustRadius on 1.
After G2, the answers leaned on independent roundup and review sites: expertinsights.com and frontdeskreview.com fed 3 answers each, mdmbuyer.com and pcmag.com fed 2 each, and techradar.com fed 1. In this category the assistants read from "best MDM" listicles far more than from anything else.
No community threads fed these answers. Reddit and Quora did not appear once across the six questions, and the closest thing to a forum was github.com, cited on the single "best free" question. For a vendor here, that means the ground to win is roundup articles and directories, not discussion boards.
The key finding is in the vendor domains. myMDM's own site, mymdm.org, fed 3 answers and myMDM was named 3 times, while Miradore's own site, miradore.com, fed 2 answers and Miradore was the most-named product at 4 of 6. In this category a vendor's own pages are not background, they are directly feeding the model that then recommends the vendor.
Vendor sites run through the whole source list. Counting them up, 16 of the 31 source domains recorded are the websites of MDM products themselves, from logmein.com and scalefusion.com down to ezmdm.com, droidmdm.com, mobyserv.com and mamboemm.com, each feeding 1 answer. More than half of what these answers were built on came straight from vendors.
What it takes to get named here
For a marketer in this category, the lesson is that market share is not what gets you named. IBM MaaS360 and Microsoft Intune are among the largest products in MDM, yet each landed in only 3 of 6 answers, the same score as myMDM, a much smaller product that happens to own a well-cited domain and a directory presence. The source list, not the market, picked the winners.
To be named, be present in the exact pages these answers pulled from: the G2 network (4 of 6 answers), expertinsights.com and frontdeskreview.com (3 each), Software Advice (3), pcmag.com and mdmbuyer.com (2 each), and your own domain, which fed 16 of the 31 sources here. Get reviewed and listed on those pages, keep your own product pages specific, and you enter the pool the assistant is reading from.
Because the shortlist swings so hard on wording, you also have to choose which question to win. Miradore does not show up for the bare "best" query but takes the free, affordable and small-teams angles to reach 4 of 6. If you compete on price, make sure your pricing pages answer the "most affordable" question, where four of the seven names were tiny products no other query surfaced.
The full list, counted
Jamf appears twice in the table below, as Jamf Pro (3 of 6) and Jamf Now (1 of 6). These are two separate products in the measurement, so we keep them as two rows rather than adding them into a Jamf 4 of 6 the data never recorded.
| Product | Named in | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Miradore | 4 of 6 | 67% |
| IBM MaaS360 | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| Jamf Pro | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| Microsoft Intune | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| myMDM | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| SOTI MobiControl | 3 of 6 | 50% |
| LogMeIn Resolve MDM | 2 of 6 | 33% |
| Scalefusion | 2 of 6 | 33% |
| VMware Workspace ONE | 2 of 6 | 33% |
| Jamf Now | 1 of 6 | 17% |
Where Glotier fits
Glotier does not sell mobile device management software, so we are correctly absent from all 6 of these answers, and that is the right result. We are not fishing for a mention in a category we are not in.
What you just read is the exact check we run on a customer's own category: the real buyer questions put to ChatGPT and Gemini, every named product and every source recorded, so you can see which of the 6 questions you already win and which leave you out. On this MDM run, that gap was the difference between Miradore at 4 of 6 and 13 products stuck at a single mention.
If you want the same map for your own product, the check is free, there is no account to create, and it takes about a minute.
