PromptOpti is the most generous of the four if you want an ongoing free tier: one brand and five buyer-intent queries, forever. HubSpot’s grader is the fastest one-off snapshot and costs nothing because it is a lead magnet, which is fine as long as you know that going in.

Free tier or free trial, which is what you are being offered

This is the whole question behind the search and most pages blur it. A free tier keeps working and caps what you can do. A free trial gives you everything and then stops, and in this category it usually wants a card first, so forgetting to cancel is a charge rather than an ending.

The rest of the field is one or the other. Frase and GrackerAI run seven-day trials, LLM Pulse runs fourteen and asks for a card. Neither is a trick, but neither is what someone typing “free AI visibility tool” is looking for.

What a free check should actually show you

Three things, and the third is the one that separates a useful free tool from a lead magnet.

Which assistants named you and which named a rival instead, because the three disagree far more than they agree. The exact answer text rather than a score, so you can read how you were framed. And the source pages the answer was built from, which is the only part that tells you what to do next: in the three categories we measured end to end, the pages deciding the answer were third-party ones, not vendor sites, and you cannot act on that if nobody shows you the list.

Where ours sits

Glotier’s free report is a different shape to the rest of this page, and it is worth being blunt about why. It does not ask an assistant anything. What ours does instead is answer the question underneath that one: if an assistant went looking, could it use your pages at all. That is the half you can act on this afternoon, and it is the half nobody gives away, because it is the expensive half to build and the cheap half to run.
