How to get your Gemini API Key (5 minutes)

You do not need this to use Glotier. The free check runs on our own engine, no key and no account. Adding your own Gemini key is optional: it makes the questions run through your Google account instead of ours. A Gemini key is free and needs no credit card. Here’s how.

Step 1 · Go to Google AI Studio

Visit aistudio.google.com and sign in with any Google account.

Step 2 · Create API Key

Click Get API Key in the top-right, then Create API Key in new project.

Step 3 · Copy & Paste

Copy the generated key (starts with AIzaSy…) and paste it into Glotier’s Settings → API Keys.

What about privacy?

Google’s Free tier may use your prompts to improve their models. This is fine for tracking public AI search queries (like “best CRM for small teams”), but if that matters to you, do not connect a key: leave the check running on our engine, where your questions go through our paid provider accounts rather than a free tier that may train on them.

Limits

Google sets the free-tier limits and changes them, so check their current rate-limit page rather than trusting a number written here. If your key hits its limit mid-check we fall back to our own engine and tell you that we did.
